Challenge: Global CO₂ emissions must be halved by 2030. As one of Denmark's most energy consumption-intensive production companies with considerable CO₂ emissions, we accept that we have a big responsibility and are at the forefront of the green transition. The transition from fossil fuels to green alternatives is a key element towards achieving lower CO₂ emissions. We are convinced that we will be able to come up with good long-term solutions by engaging in innovative partnerships.
Fuels of the future
Global CO₂ emissions must be halved by 2030. As one of Denmark's most energy consumption-intensive production companies with considerable CO₂ emissions, we accept that we have a responsibility and are working intensively to come up with alternative solutions to fossil fuel production. We are convinced that we will be able to find good long-term solutions, including by engaging in innovative partnerships.
As the producer of 35% of all liquid fuels consumed in Denmark, we want to be part of the solution for a better future.
Producing the green fuels of the future requires huge amounts of both hydrogen and carbon. It also requires framework conditions to create the prerequisites for us and potential partners to introduce innovative technologies.
Our collaboration with Everfuel to build a hydrogen factory that will produce green hydrogen that can be used in the production of liquid fuels is not just a step in the right direction, but also an example of how the formation of partnerships is conducive to the kind of interplay that can bring about good, innovative solutions.
